Municipal workers from northwest Indiana and as far away as Rockford, IL attended the Oct. 26 Safety Training Seminar sponsored by HS&E Oct. 26 – 27 in Highland, IN.
The seminar was held on the subject of “The Safe Handling of Disinfection Chemicals & Emergency Response,” and featured Tim and Jim Zatorski, President, and Executive Vice President, respectively, of HS&E.
“They learned many facets of necessary information,” said Jim Zatorski, HS&E executive vice-president. “They were glad that they were brought up to date.”
The seminar covered such topics as the proper handling of chlorine and sulfur dioxide, chemical characteristics of various substances, chemical valves, and a detailed explanation of safety equipment such as respirators.
